DONT BOOK THIS PLACE IT IS TERRIBLE. We booked for 2 weeks and arrived after a long tiring journey thru France into Spain We were tired and just paid for the apartment without looking at it first. Our neighbours the first night were obviously smoking something more than tobacco and were noisy all night, going up to the roof terrace and laughing and talking very loudly. We did not get any sleep at all and the next day decided to try and find somewhere a bit more to our needs.
We found somewhere and the agent tried to see if she could get a partial refund for the full cost of the holiday we had paid for and were told that it could not happen SO DONT BOOK AT THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT TO STAY IN SUB STANDARD CHEAP LOUSY ACCOMMODATIN WITH TORN CURTAINS, VERY SAD AND UNCOMFORTABLE FURNITURE JUST A PLACE TO PUT YOUR HEAD REALLY AND DONT, I REPEAT DONT STAY IN APARTMENT 11. These people are just out to take your money and don't care if you have a good time or not. The reception was not manned and they did not even take a deposit from us for breakages etc, so that they would not have to man the reception at the end of our holiday in order to give the deposit back. I suppose this stays something. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE PLACE AND BOOKING.COM DONT WANT TO KNOW OR HELP EITHER. We booked online and while the photos looked nice, the actual apartments were not. The view however is very nice from up on the hill.
Unfortunately Mojacar was also full of young, intoxicated kids partying and a large amount of them staying in this establishment. We were kept aeake all night with their noise.
The A/C was only in the downstairs area and not in rooms where it was needed. Toilet had one roll of paper for four people over 2 nights.
Overall a disappointing experience and such a shame as Mojacar is a beautiful place. Maybe July and August are not the best times to visit and I would suggest another hotel choice also. My wife and I stayed at this establishment for one night on a recent trip to Spain when we decided to visit friends who lived in the area. Check in was a little awkward as the gentleman who was on duty at reception spoke very little English and we spoke very little Spanish. But we got there. The apartment itself was clean, tidy and adequate for a one night stay.
The crockery was Ikea but the cutlery a little past their sell by date. A full sized fridge was provided, although there was no kettle and two rings to cook on, a microwave oven was available, as was a sofa to relax on. Air conditioning was also provided. A small serviceable wardrobe was also provided.

There was a safe, with no lock, which we assumed we had to ask for a lock from reception and did not enquire about owing to the problems previously mentioned with language. There were then a few steps down to the bed which was close to a door leading to a sun terrace which had a ironwork spiral staircase leading to a well appointed sun terrace.
One small drawback was that the steps previously mentioned had to be negotiated to use the bathroom at night when it was very dark in the room. The bathroom itself was adequate; again some of the furnishings were a little tired but thee was adequate space for all our toiletries.
Bella Vista Mojacar Spain
As it was an apartment then no food was provided but we brought our own for breakfast and used the crockery provided. We checked out the following morning at 10.00 am and found the reception area all locked up and no one in sight to give the key to.
Luckily there was a post box which we placed the key in and departed refreshed after our one night stay. After a VERY early start, 04.30 for a 06.25 Easyjet flight, we arrived at Almeria airport at 10.30 where we’d hoped to get a bus to Mojacar. No such luck- public transport at the weekends in Spain is a bit “hit and miss”, and more often “miss” than “hit”! So we decided to take a cab all the way to Mojacar which cost the best part of 100 euros. We both noticed that almost all the other passengers from our flight were queuing up for hire cars.
It was perhaps then we should have realised you really need your own wheels to get around in Almeria!! Vista Mojacar’s reception was a dark little room with a desk, a computer and Francisco, the receptionist, who showed us to our villa.
We were pleasantly surprised. Apart from the pool being out of use, which was one of the reasons we’d chosen the apartment, the accommodation itself was wonderful; clean marble floors, a decent kitchen with cooking utensils, microwave and any other mod cons you might need, a spiral stair case, two good sized bedrooms with their own respective balconies, enormous beds and two large terraces.
One of the terraces was the Solarium which was accessed by an iron staircase leading off the back bedroom. This was at the top of the apartment and was a flat tiled roof. There wasn’t any furniture up there so you couldn’t do much other than just lie there in the sun or take pictures of the breath-taking views of Mojacar. There was no washing up liquid, scouring pads or washing detergent nor was there any tea, coffee, sugar or milk just something to bear in mind.
But there are two supermarkets within ten minutes walking distance of the apartment, so no big deal. There were, however, towels and loo roll, but no shower gel or shampoo. Another thing to mention is the ancient washing machine. We went out for the day and came back to find the kitchen floor covered in water.
The apartment is in Mojacar Playa, rather Mojacar Pueblo, and is in between the two ends of town. Most amenities take about ten minutes or so to get to. There are a couple of good eateries nearby. We had 2 particularly good meals at the Mexican and Chiringuito Albatros. A lot of places were closed or only open at certain times because it was low season, but something we both noticed was that apart from Albatros, the food at the restaurants on the beach wasn’t as good or as reasonably priced as on the other side of the road. The apartment is set a few streets back from the main road up quite a steep hill.
Although the nightlife at the weekends seems pretty lively, you won’t get disturbed unless of course your apartment is next door to a stag or hen do of which there are plenty!
